The Polish American Club was founded in February 1980 at Columbus, Ohio as a state and federally approved IRS 501 (c) (3) public charitable not-for-profit organization. Its primary purpose is to promote Polish and Polish-American culture and heritage by increasing community awareness regarding the contributions that Poles and Polish-Americans have made (and continue to make) to world culture and history. Throughout the year the club sponsors various events for Polonia in central Ohio, social gatherings and dances, featuring live music by Polish bands, and conducts Polish classes, lectures, and youth activities. The Polish American Club participates heavily in the Columbus International Festival, and celebrates the traditional Polish Christmas ceremony “Wigilia” as well as “Swieconka”, the traditional blessing of Easter foods. Additionally, we have begun a scholarship fund to help students within the community to pay for their college educations. We hope you may consider helping us to fund our non-profit activities with tax deductible donations of cash, goods or services. You can find us listed (Federal EIN 31-1038452) in Internal Revenue Service Publication 78, and registered with the Ohio State Attorney Generals’ Office (Reg. No. 05-3827) as required by Ohio’s Charitable Organizations Act. We appreciate you considering our request and doing whatever you might to help us make a difference. Please send your donations to: Polish American
